Following a strong year of growth and expansion, Research Now is announcing the changes below that reflect how the company is operating as a global team focused on strong cross-functional collaboration to serve its clients worldwide.

This executive team represents the strongest in our company’s history, and encompasses a great breadth and depth of experience that will help shape our future success.”
Promotions within Research Now’s newly appointed and legacy Executive Leadership Team include:
John Rothwell has been promoted from Managing Director of the Americas and Divisional President of Research Now Technologies to Chief Operating Officer of the global business. In this role, he will oversee multiple functional areas and teams companywide, including: Sales and Business Development, Marketing, Panels and Partnerships, and Client Services. Rothwell will also continue to manage Research Now’s portfolio businesses, including Peanut Labs and e-Miles. Rothwell remains a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Kathy Rowley has been promoted from Senior Vice President of Legal and Human Resources to Chief Human Resources Officer and General Counsel. In this dual role, Rowley will lead the global human resources, training and internal communications functions companywide. She will also continue to oversee all global legal and data privacy matters for the company. Rowley continues her role with the Executive Leadership Team.
Melanie Courtright has been promoted from Senior Vice President of Client Services for the Americas to Executive Vice President of Global Client Services. Courtright will lead the entire global team of employees responsible for delivering the highest levels of client service and satisfaction. This includes project management, programming and hosting, research methodology, and thought leadership. Courtright also continues to be an active member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Chris Dubreuil will join the Executive Leadership Team in an expanded role as Managing Director of Northern Europe. Dubreuil will now be responsible for both revenue and working with the functional teams to manage the company’s profitability in the northern European region.
Ben Hogg has been promoted to Managing Director of Northern Europe, Sales. Ben will report to Chris Dubreuil, and be responsible for all sales efforts in Northern Europe, while continuing to manage the company’s portfolio businesses, including Peanut Labs and Healthcare, on a Pan-European basis.
Marc Smaluhn joins the Executive Leadership Team after being promoted from Managing Director of Central Europe to Managing Director of Continental Europe. In this new role, Smaluhn will lead Research Now’s sales efforts across all of continental Europe while working with the functional teams to manage the company’s profitability in this region.
Ed Russo joins the Executive Leadership Team after being promoted from Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Americas to Senior Vice President of Global Marketing. In this new global role, Russo will lead Research Now’s marketing efforts – formulating strategy, brand identity, channel marketing, brand partnerships, advertising and public relations – worldwide.
Ryan Jantz joins the Executive Leadership Team after being promoted from Vice President of Corporate Development to Senior Vice President of Panels and Partnerships. Jantz will lead the global function responsible for panel partnerships and recruitment, respondent engagement, incentives, and retention, working across all of Research Now’s panel assets (including online panels, mobile and behavioral).
Dirk Hobgood joins the Executive Leadership Team after being promoted from Vice President of Risk Management and Compliance to Senior Vice President of Data Privacy, and Portfolio Businesses. In this dual role, Hobgood will be responsible for the global leadership and oversight of all data privacy and security activities within the organization. He will also provide strategic planning and financial oversight for e-Miles and Peanut Labs.
Other members of Research Now’s Executive Leadership Team continue in their existing roles: Kurt Knapton, President and Chief Executive Officer; Nathan Runnicles, Chief Financial Officer; Mike Bigby, Chief Technology Officer; Tom Markert, Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the Americas; and James Burge, Managing Director of Asia Pacific.
